Scaffolding Training and Jobs in Powys
Throughout the construction and maintenance of many buildings, scaffolding Powys plays an important role. Scaffolding can allow operatives to reach areas of a property which, with the use of various other equipment and appliances, wouldn't be possible. However, here at PMP Scaffolding – as specialists in the erection and dismantling of scaffolding we're fully aware that the incorrect erection or dismantling of scaffolding can have serious implications, not only to the operator, but also to anyone passing and the building itself.
As with all forms of construction work, from the manual labour, through to the wiring of a property and gas works, it's essential when erecting scaffolding to have the right level of training and experience for the job you're undertaking.
The industry recognised scaffold training, provided by the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) provides students with all relevant information in regard to the erection and dismantling of various forms of scaffolding and during your training process you'll be required to undertake the CISRS course Part 1, Part 2 and Level 2 in Access and Rigging.
From the moment you've undertaken the labourer part of the course, which gives you the basic health and safety requirements of scaffolding you have 36months in which to successfully complete the trainee programme.
During which time you'll be required to undertake the two week, off site CISRS Part 1 course. As part of the first part of the course, you'll learn all about the health and safety aspects of scaffolding; along with harness training, the interpretation of simple drawings; along with the setting up of putlog, independent and birdcage scaffolding – all of which will be tested in a test paper at the end.
Upon successful completion of Part 1, you're able to move on to Part 2 which includes a Level 2 NVQ in access and rigging.
